Fees

- An initial consultation: £275                                   - A follow-up consultation: £220

If you have private medical insurance, please check the terms of your policy prior to your insurance, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation or procedure fees.

Please note that you are personally responsible for any fees not covered by your insurer.

If you are seeing Dr. Karanovic for a hair or scalp complaint, please see below

Due to the added complexity and time required to adequately examine and then plan management for hair loss, longer appointments are necessitated.

- An initial hair consultation: £330 (45 mins)         - A follow-up hair consultation: £220

The majority of insurance companies do not cover hair loss consultations & do not recognise the need for longer appointment times. Therefore all alopecia/hair loss consultations will be conducted on a self-funded basis.

Booking a consultation without mentioning that you are attending for a hair loss appointment means your consultation will have to be lengthened and you will be invoiced for the value of an extended appointment.

If you feel that your insurer will contribute towards your costs, then you can personally reclaim back any allowances directly from your insurance company after the appointment.

Repeat prescriptions outside of regular clinic appointments will incur a professional fee of £20

If part of your letter or report is unclear, I am happy to provide clarification. Please note that detailed follow-up queries or repeated requests for further information outside of a consultation may incur a professional fee of £40 per email

Should you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee of 50% (of the self-pay rate) will apply. For on the day cancellations or missed appointments, a fee of 100% of the appointment charge at the self-pay rate will apply.

Please note that most insurers will not cover a cancellation fee so you would be liable for this and invoiced directly.

Following your consultation you may need certain tests (such as blood tests or imaging) to help me diagnose your condition. If the test is undertaken by the hospital, the fees for those tests will be determined by the hospital and charged to you or your private medical insurer, separately.

For any procedures the final cost will be a combination of my professional fee and a hospital fee (that is determined by the hospital), thus giving you a packaged price for the procedure.
