Rosacea

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting the central face. It may present with persistent redness, flushing, visible blood vessels, spots or eye symptoms. Triggers can include heat, alcohol, spicy foods and stress. Although rosacea cannot be cured, symptoms can usually be managed effectively with topical or oral treatment and by identifying individual triggers. Early management can reduce progression and improve skin comfort.

What can I do prior to my appointment?

• Identify possible triggers such as alcohol, heat, spicy foods or stress.

• Bring a list of skincare products currently used.

• Avoid starting new products shortly before review.

This helps clarify the pattern of symptoms.
